The telomeric attrition hypothesis remains at the epicenter of most longevity discourses, yet few explore the nuanced interplay of sirtuins, NAD+ modulation, and autophagic regulation. Slowing aging is not merely about extending time but enhancing temporal quality. Any serious dialogue must begin with cellular housekeeping—mitophagy, hormesis, and epigenetic drift mitigation.

Wait—can someone explain this in simpler terms? 😂 Like, are we actually talking about living longer here or just not looking old? Is this stuff backed by real science?

Jennifer, yes and yes. Petter is referring to the biological mechanics behind aging. Things like NAD+ boosters (e.g., NR or NMN) have some scientific backing. Think of it like enhancing how your cells repair themselves over time. It’s not immortality, but it might buy us a few healthier decades.

i Took NMN 4 2 monthS but Didnt feel Anythng diff tbh… maybe placebo?? or i baught fake??? LOL 😩

Same. I tried NMN too. I think some of these supplements are more about long-term internal effects you don’t really "feel" right away. But also, quality matters. Most of the cheap stuff online is garbage.

I've been tracking biomarkers for the last 18 months—glucose variability, HRV, CRP, and telomere length (via test kits). Pairing intermittent fasting with cold plunges, sauna use, and moderate caloric restriction seems to yield the best results so far. Supplements are secondary to lifestyle consistency.

What test kits are you using for telomere length? I’ve been curious but didn’t know you could do that from home?

Look into TeloYears or Life Length. But be cautious—most of these are still proxies, not definitive diagnostics. Also, CRISPR epigenetic clocks (like Horvath’s) are gaining ground for precision aging analysis, though still pricey and not widely available.

Honestly? Feels like all this biohacking stuff is modern snake oil dressed up in molecular biology terms. Live clean, eat well, sleep enough. No pill’s gonna override your DNA’s game plan. Just saying. 🤷‍♂️
