M&P BXaml in .NET, Part 1

Posted on July 29, 2013 by Herman Dolder
The BXaml processor of M&P H5J is now also available in the .NET platform.
The XAML processor provided by the .NET platform, although it allows the instantiation of all kinds of “XAML-friendly” objects, is aimed to support the WPF, Silverlight, WF and WinRT platforms of Microsoft.
As each of these platforms use a different XAML dialect (oriented to bear the idiosyncrasies of the platform) in practice there are several different versions of the XAML processor.
BXaml was developed in TypeScript to operate in Javascript environments both clients and servers. BXaml lets you instantiate all kinds of “XAML-friendly” objects and is optimized to operate with M&P BLOCKS.
The .NET version of BXaml (BXaml.NET) is functionally identical to the TypeScript version and, as we will see in this series of 3 short articles, lets you instantiate Windows Forms, WPF and Silverlight windows and operate in WinRT.

In the previous article titled “Concepts and Facilities” we presented a bird’s-eye view of the basics of M&P H5J, and in this article we will take a second tour to broaden and deepen some topics as preparation for future more specialized articles.

The M&P platform seeks to maximize the adaptability and the performance of applications by using a modular dataflow architecture based on interchangeable plug-and-play BLOCKS.

The M&P plataform seeks to maximize the adaptability of applications in situations of high complexity demanding, for optimal users interaction, a maximum cross-platform portability, distributed processing on Internet, parallel processing, and the use of mobile devices. To resolve these situations of high complexity, which are becoming more frequent, M&P proposes a modular dynamic dataflow architecture that uses plug-and-play components.

In this post we describe the main concepts and facilities of the M&P H5J platform.

The M&P H5J platform of M&P TBW (The BLOCKS World) enables you to develop “ultraportable” modular applications for a large number of platforms (all those that support HTML5).

The architecture of M&P H5J is, by design, similar to that of Silverlight including an XAML processor coded in Javascript (TypeScript). M&P H5J is “Silverlight in HTML5”.
